Amuse-bouche...How to make High tea food pairings oakland

Basic cooking class that discusses ways to think about food pairings and flavors while we bake up some scones and other simple snacks for high tea.

Certain things go with certain things.

But why?

Radishes go with Buddha’s Hand,
Kaffir lime is sublime with rice,
mustard seed and nori are also a nice pairing. cucumbers go well with lightly salted butter.

Bring your favorite pairing and we’ll try making snacks that are referred to as ‘amuse-bouche’ or ‘mouth amusement’. Then we’ll pair them with my extensive tea collection and have a high tea.

ps. just learned how to make a quickie clotted cream so we might have to make that too.

hey hellen, should we revive this class and give it another go now that the community has grown? I think it sounds like fun!
