Brooklyn Writers' Community
An opportunity for Brooklyn writers to have others read and critique their work and to get insights and suggestions from people interested in the craft. Also a chance to get together and bounce ideas off each other for story-lines, plots, character development, stylistic approaches, etc. Depending on who joins the group and what sort of skill-set they have, this could also create opportunities for members to teach classes and host workshops. I’ve never been able to find a solid community of Brooklyn writers and thought it made sense to try to get a group together.

Hey guys, can everyone email me their email address so I can send something out about next steps? I’m at ruvym@nyu.edu. Thanks!
Thanks for signing up everybody. Keep spreading the word. I’d like to get up to about 15 interested people before having a first meeting. I’ll also send out a quick questionnaire once we get to that number to see the sort of demographic we have.
Thanks! I submitted a class idea to them as well, but it wasn’t as broad as this. Any help I can get to make this happen is greatly appreciated.
Hey Ruvym — great idea. The unclasses community is mostly based in SF but let me reach out to a few folks at the Brooklyn Brainery and share the class around.

If you’ve just recently joined this group, please send me your email address at ruvym@nyu.edu and I’ll pass along a questionnaire I put together.
