Intro to MIG Welding
A basic introduction to MIG welding. MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding is a simple welding process that is suitable to a variety of uses from furniture to farm and everywhere in between. Once the substrate is prepared and the ground attached the weld is made using a small trigger actuated wire feeding “gun” of sorts that is easy to learn yet hard to master.
I will set the class up in my basic metal workshop and hope to give each of the students a chance to try there hand at a few welds.
Teacher's Notes
My name is Payam Sarabi
I am the designer and founder of a modern metal furniture company in Austin by the name of Sarabi Studio. Over the past two years I have self-learned welding and have become proficient enough that my designs are now featured at NEST and Big Red Sun in Austin. I love metal work and although I have began to outsource my work I am happy to teach.
If you are serious about mastering MIG welding I am happy to take on interns to work on my custom projects under my supervision.

I will be unable to attend on the weekend of 2/13, however the class should not be held up for myself. If there is another chance to meet and discuss welding, I would appreciate the opportunity. — Kyle
