Beginner French
You’ve had your eye on the French guy who lives down the hall. Or you just found a crazy-cheap ticket to Paris for the fall. Or you’re dating a Belgian woman and are dying to know what she says about you on the phone with her best friend.

We’ll start with the basics (assuming you know zero or that it’s been a long while since Middle School language options), covering basic vocab, present tenses and the most useful phrases.

I’m a 28 year old writer with a MA in French literature from the Sorbonne. I’ve spoken French for 16 years and have lived in Paris, Clermont-Ferrand and Aix-en-Provence for a total of 2.5 years. I go back every year and miss teaching languages to adults!
