Hula Hooping Basics - Waist
Hey there!
This class will be a basic rundown on how to hula hoop. We will go over the basics of waist hooping, moving with the hoop, and learn tricks (and do some troubleshooting) for when that pesky hoop just keeps falling.
If this class goes well we can do some more. I plan on holding an East Bay and a San Francisco class.
The San Francisco class will be on June 27th @ 1 p.m. location Panhandle across from the DMV, Golden Gate Park
The East Bay class will be held on June 28th @ Noon, location Ohlone Park near North Berkeley BART
Runtime: 1hr 30min
Each class is $15 and I am limited to 8-10 people per class. Either bring your hoop or use one of the in-class hoops.
Also comfortable shoes and loose but well-fitting clothes will work best with the hoop.(think yoga pants and a tee-shirt)
Teacher's Notes
I’m a hula-hoop performer with two years of experience. I’ve performed at Mighty, Supper Club, and other popular venues in the Bay Area in addition to The Crucible’s Fire Arts Festival and Temple of Poi’s Union Square performance.
I look forward to helping you find your hoop flow. =)

see you in class soon :)
Hi!
Just a reminder that we are meeting at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 27th at the Panhandle in Golden Gate Park, across from the DMV on Baker St. The area is easily accessible by bike or public transportation.
Couple of things. Please bring comfortable clothes and shoes to hoop in. The best kind of clothes are the ones that will allow the hoop to connect with the body — baggy clothes not advised. Remember to bring your water, hooping can make you sweat. Bring your hoop, if you have one; and, please bring something to blindfold yourself with. I’ll have a couple of dude rags there in case you forget though.
Until then,
=)—Eds
Absolutely. I decided to go with the Panhandle though because it may be more forgiving of car drivers, and this weekend happens to be Pride weekend so I expect that area to be a bit of a people mess.
However the Panhandle is bikeable, public transportation friendly, and slightly better for car drivers. But again, thanks for the suggestion. =)

Thanks Rahim. Yeah I am going to have another class, still trying to figure out when though. Of course I’ll post on Unclass when I do though =.
