Intro to Home Brewing - Mini Mash
It is easy to make your own World Class beer at home. Like the first time you do anything, brewing your own beer at home will be more difficult the first time through. After a few batches the processes become second hand and you relax. What this class aims to do is to help you make that transition as smoothly as possible, and to get you making unbelievable beer quickly, starting with your very first batch.
The Mini Mash brewing process can be thought of as mid-way between Malt Extract and All Grain brewing.
Malt extract in liquid and/or dry form
Milled base and flavoring grains & other specialty ingredients, as required
Multiple additions of hops
Whirlfloc – for clarifying
We will brew 5 gallons of beer.
We’re on for June 27th, 2009 @ 4:00pm. Class will start between 4:00-4:30. The address is 411 Lincoln Way, San Francisco, CA. 94122.
Parking shouldn’t be all that difficult but please remember that this weekend is Pride Weekend so you’re going to probably want to avoid Market street and the Castro District in general when traveling here.
Here’s a link to a PDF book that’s pretty good reference material.
Teacher's Notes

Discussion (7)
Learned a ton @ the unclass. Thanks @fusion94! Forgot to ask;
1) Cost for all starting equipment to brew 5 gallons beer?
2) Cost for all ingredients to brew 5 gallons of beer?
Thanks again,
John

Tony, that was a killer class. Looking at the pictures makes me thirsty for that ‘unclasses IPA®.’
